Vishal Goenka is an education technology entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of 2Sigma School, an organization focused on expanding access to high-quality computer science education through live instruction, personaliszed learning, and AI-powered tools. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from Wharton, combining strong technical foundations with business and product leadership experience.

Before founding 2Sigma School, Vishal built a strong career in Silicon Valley technology. He held senior roles in product management and engineering at Google, and earlier worked with Teracent as Chief Architect & Engineering Manager, a data-driven advertising technology startup that was acquired by Google in 2009, giving him direct experience in building scalable technology products within a high-growth startup environment that ultimately became part of Google.

Teracent specialized in data-driven display advertising optimization, using technology to customize ad creatives based on factors such as audience data, location, language, website context, time of day, and ad performance. Google acquired Teracent to strengthen its display advertising capabilities, and Teracent’s technology was recognized for dynamically generating and optimizing display ads in real time.

This experience gives Vishal a rare combination of perspectives: building products in a startup, scaling technology inside Google, and now applying those lessons to education. Through 2Sigma School and ALPS, he is working at the intersection of computer science education, artificial intelligence, personalised learning, and access to opportunity.
